Description
This Kit combines the Roland AIRA VT-4 Voice Transformer with a high-quality large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone and an XLR cable to create a real-time vocal processing solution, well suited for studio production, live performance, podcasts, gaming, web streaming, broadcast, and more.
The Roland AIRA VT-4 Voice Transformer is a real-time vocal processor designed to craft and shape your own custom vocal sounds, from subtle augmentation to radical transformation. Smoothly alter the pitch and formant of a voice or add heavily processed vocal effects to your studio work, stage performances, podcasts, web streaming, and more. All controls are conveniently located from the front panel allowing you to make quick adjustments without menu diving or programming. Create remarkable effects such as harmonizing, vocoding, pitch shifting, hard tuning, and more. Dramatically change your entire persona from male to female, big to small, or good to evil.
For controls, the unit features dedicated pitch, formant, balance, and reverb sliders. A center wheel provides auto-pitch features, while the dedicated robot, megaphone, vocoder, and harmony buttons allow you to mix and match effects. Each effect has a selection of one-touch variations, so you can get different vocoder characteristics, various lo-fi effects, multi-part harmonies, and distinct kinds of reverb and delay. Chain your effects, set the controls just how you like them, and then simply hold down a preset button to save that scene for later. Up to eight scenes can be saved for instant recall. Changing presets and tweaking controls is smooth and immediate, with no jarring artifacts, glitches, or dropouts.
For I/O, a rear panel features a combo XLR-1/4″ connector with switchable +48V phantom power for use with your favorite condenser microphone. Outputs are provided by a pair of 1/4″ TRS connectors which can be configured as either mono/stereo or separate wet/dry channels. A built-in USB audio interface with adjustable volume level provides loopback recording to overdub vocals on existing tracks. Power is provided by either the computer’s USB bus or via the four included AA batteries.

The PCR-65 from Polsen is a cardioid condenser microphone designed for full-range reproduction of vocals and instruments in podcasts, recording studios, and broadcast environments. Its side-address, pressure-gradient design utilizes a large 1″ diaphragm with a cardioid polar pattern, which minimizes the pickup of off-axis sounds and impedes feedback. The microphone boasts a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, allowing it to accurately transduce the frequencies of a variety of sounds. Its high sensitivity and 125 dB maximum SPL ensure that you can use it on quiet or loud sources, from whispered vocals to pounding drums.
The PCR-65 has a sturdy, metal housing with an alloy finish. The supplied custom shockmount decouples the mic from vibrations and rumble that would otherwise transfer from the floor to the mic. Use the desktop tripod stand for convenient tabletop placement during interviews and podcasts. Phantom power (12 to 52 VDC) is required.
The black Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable (6′) is designed to be an extremely quiet and flexible cable that is ideal for the most demanding live sound and performance applications. The cable is engineered to be durable and provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise. While the cable’s color-coding affords the ability to quickly differentiate between multiple connections onstage, it provides a pleasant aesthetic quality at the same time.
Premium Performance 3000 Series cables are made from 24-AWG OFC copper wire that’s wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. The 95% dual-spiral shielding makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
